Sam and Dom called while I was still in hospital, recovering from the helicopter crash, and asked if I would photograph their wedding. At the time I wasn't sure my body was ready, but after talking with them I knew I had to find a way... their day in the South Island was going to be worth whatever it took. I am so proud of what we made together, and I captured the magic and love from a walker at the very start of my healing journey. Almost no one noticed. They reminded me exactly why I love this work, and why I will do everything I can to keep capturing couples' love stories. Sam had asked specifically for whimsical images of her day, which was an instant yes from me. The whole celebration was full of love from her children and every guest... a magical day at Stonebridge.
